Freak out at 03:55am...

Ok, having a freak-out!

Where have all my photos gone??

Checking my Picasa webalbums... Photos still there, but not on my blog?

Please HELP!!

Update at 12:04pm
Apparently, all my Picasa web albums had somehow changed settings to 'Only Me' and therefore not visible on my blog. After a very stressful night, with very little sleep, I can now breath again and enjoy my blog - ...and you can too ☺

Christmas is slowly disappearing...

Started slowly to take down the Christmas decorations in the kitchen and 'back kitchen sit down area' today.

It's fun how fast you get into removing all the signs of Christmas and there is no hesitation what so ever. Out with the red and in with the white and bright ☺

My Swedish Dala horse curtains feels refreshing after Christmas. White red and blue. The curtains transformed the whole room - a nice change after the holidays. The red Christmas fabric on the kitchen sofa was replaced too. White crocheted cushions and blue & white cushions made the sofa look cozy. I feel like sitting down and flipping through a magazine or an interior design book of some kind.

The back kitchen in the evening light. Still lots to do. I'm tweaking here and there... trying to get it as nice as possible. Have to continue tomorrow... Time to crash on the couch and watch some TV now when the kids are sound asleep!

Hope you all have a fantastic time wherever you are and whatever you do.
Stay safe!
Hugs from Australia♥ ~Pernilla

First Day of school 2014 - Grade 2 for our Prince

The Christmas Holiday is finally over. Back to our daily routines with school lunches and bus trips. Today is a grey day with 90% chance of rain.

Jonah has his new uniform. He looks so smart... grown up in a way. Wow, just realised he is going to be eight later on this year. Where has the time gone?

I got all the books and other school supplies organised - in the last minute as per usual. Couldn't find his lunch box so we had to improvise and use a spare one. Should buy him a new one. They are probably on sale tomorrow with the rest of the school stuff!

So, another school year has begun. 10 weeks until the next school holiday. A year until Princess Lily's first day of Prep. I have a feeling this year is going to rush past fairly quickly. Time flies when you are having fun☺

Have a great week everyone☺

First day of Year 2 awaits

Master Jonah in his new school uniform,
ready for tomorrow's adventure!

Lily is excited too.
Only one more year and she'll be in Prep!

Christmas bunting

I've been contemplating taking all my Christmas decorations down. Yes, I know it's almost February, but I've really enjoyed all the red and white for a long time. Our home feels so warm and inviting with all these shades of different reds.

The other day a parcel arrived from the UK with a Christmas bunting I bought on sale. Hubby helped me to put it up on the wall straight away - We needed to see how it looked before next Christmas...☺

However, when I start to dream about blue curtains and decorations which are non-Christmas related, that is when I know it's time for a change! That's what I have done lately, so stay tuned...☺

Happy Australia Day!

Happy Australia Day to you all!

Tomorrow is a Public Holiday, cause Australia Day is on a Sunday.
The Aussies love a three-day-weekend,
and since I'm one of them now...
I love them too... ☺

Excursion with great friends

On our way to The Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) in Brisbane, we made a pit stop at the Queensland Museum, to take a look at an old Holden car.

*drooling*
Love the patina!!

Lots to look at...

Lovely old signs with plenty of patina!

 Craft session at GOMA

Jonah created virtual fireworks and Lily made a tree.

Kids are trying out their kangaroo masks they made downstairs,
visiting Gordon Hookey Kangaroo Crew

 My own two kangaroos... ☺

We took a stroll through the White Forest

So nice and fluffy...

My precious kiddies, deep in the maze.

Such a simple, yet spectacular forest.

Amazing place at The Gallery of Modern Art.

Beautiful with a slight snow fall too.
Thanks Google + for yet another auto awesome photo ☺

Just on our way out, there were more free activities for the kids.
The library had craft and painting tables.

Eden and Lily are having fun creating beautiful art.

Jed, Jonah, Eden and Lily

Tadaaaaa.... ☺

So much fun seeing the kids being creative and having a great time!
