Happy Father's Day 2017

On Sunday the 3rd of September, we celebrated the Australian Father's Day. We had hubby's parents over for Afternoon Tea.... Coffee and cake made by yours truly. For some strange reason, I didn't take a photo of my creation. Anyway, it was delicious and disappeared very quickly!

Aussie Father's Day 2016

The kids celebrated their dad with presents purchased at school 

and later on we'll munch on a scrumptious chocolate cake.

Father's Day 2015

Last Sunday we celebrated Father's Day here in Australia. Lots of other countries celebrate on the same day, but Sweden's Father's Day (Farsdag) is celebrated in November. Any excuse to celebrate again is good enough for me... ☺

Father's Day 2013

In Australia we celebrate Father's Day today! 

It is also the first day of Spring and we are having a fantastic day

with lots of sunshine and warm temperatures.

Before hubby had to go to work (a 12hr shift) 

we celebrated him 

with cake and pressies... ☺

Home made gifts are the best!

Happy Swedish Father's Day

After a day of rain we are once again blessed with sunshine. The sky is blue and it's 

pretty windy. We do need more rain, but have to be grateful of what we received.

Today we celebrate the Swedish Father's Day. 

So cool that we can celebrate things twice!!

Father's Day 2012

The first Sunday in September we celebrated Father's Day. Can't believe it's taken me over two weeks to upload photos and write about it... Well, life has been a bit VERY stressful lately. First our computer hard drive decided to stop working and we had to send it away for the documents, photos and home movies to be recovered. Now I hear you all say, didn't you backup everything? Yes, we did... up until last November 2011, when our external hard drive gave up. Just the thought of loosing everything important gave me nightmares and panic attacks. Now I just have to think positive that it's all going to come back and not cost an arm and a leg!

So if these computer issues weren't enough, our beloved Volvo V40T decided to break down on us when we were on our way to pick up Jonah from school in the afternoon. The turbo blew up, white smoke was pouring out of the exhaust and we had no power at all entering the highway. We were crawling! Heaps of cars behind us. They were probably wondering what was happening to such a lovely looking car... We were able to drive very slowly to my in-laws and borrow their car. Finally we ended up at school where Jonah was waiting patiently in the office. He was excited to go in his grandparents car. I was just happy that we hadn't been stranded anywhere and not able to get him.

Idag firar vi...

Farsdag!! ... I all enkelhet ska vi ha lite mysigt här hemma innan Pappa G åker på jobbet.

Fredag igen!

Veckorna går verkligen snabbt. Nu är fredagen här igen!!

Ibland känns det som om veckorna bara består av måndag och fredag plus två långa helgdagar när det är lördag och söndag. Det känns nog så bara för att jag är ensam med barnen på helgerna.

Imorgon ska jag och barnen på pizzakväll hemma hos Jonahs kompis Sophie och på söndag firas alla pappor för då är det Father's Day här down under. Då ska vi fira pappa G innan han ska göra sitt 12 timmars pass på jobbet. Vi kanske inte hinner göra så mycket, fast det är kanske som G säger, Every day is Father's Day to me. Barnen är en gåva i sig... ☺

Farsdag 2010

Idag firar vi Father's Day här i Australien. Konstigt att man inte firar på samma dag överallt i världen... Vi brukar fira svensk Farsdag också... och svensk Morsdag så klart! Det är viktigt att hålla de svenska traditionerna vid liv tillsammans med de australiska!

Solen skiner...

En strålande fin vårdag väntar... +26° och sol, inte illa för en torsdag i september! Tror jag ska gå på en promenad efter att ha lämnat sonen på Kindy. På söndag firar vi Father's Day här down under så det blir säkert nåt vackert litet alster tillverkat idag. Jag fick ett sånt fint Morsdagskort från Jonah i maj, så jag antar att det blir nåt liknande till hans pappa. Tråkigt nog jobbar Grant på söndag... jobbar h e l a dagen, men vi får väl passa på att fira i förväg istället!
