Friday... Fri Yay!

Hi all, After a few days of grey weather and a couple of days of rain, it now feels awesome that we finally reached Friday! TGIF!

School pick up in the rain isn't my favourite activity, especially when the bus stop doesn't have a shelter and we are all crammed in under an umbrella waiting for the bus, which also decided to be a bit late to pick us up... Never mind, that's in the past! Today is a new day and hopefully no rain this afternoon... ☺

My Swedish best friend who lives out in woop woop,
texted me the other day, asking me how I was holding up in the rain...
So, I sent her this photo
- yours truly in a raincoat and under a huge umbrella.

I've been busy drying clothes - and shoes - for days now,
so I haven't had any inspiration to blog.
Today I thought I'd check the Feathered Nest Friday Blog party I joined last Friday,
and I got the biggest surprised ever
- I had been featured!!

Woohoo, this definitely made my day! It sure is a happy Friday ☺

Hope you all have a great weekend!
Thank you for stopping by☺

I never get tired...

of my blue and white transferware.

So many different beautiful patterns;
castles and sceneries,
birds and flowers.

 Romantic lace here and there.

Blue and white on wooden shelves

Some pretty vintage pearls mixed in...

Rows of cups, saucers and plates.
A mixture of antiques and new productions.

Antique Swedish canisters at the top;
Coffee, Sugar, Cinnamon, Prunes, Cloves, Potato Flour and Rice.

The canisters belonged to my Maternal grandmother,
but originally from her husband's family.

I'm always keeping an eye out for more.

Finally...

My two favourite British magazines are finally here.
The December issues are always a hit!

I've been waiting and waiting...
In late October I saw the magz on a British website,
and finally they are here on Australian soil.

More Christmas!
Oh, happy days☺

Even in the bedroom...

I never miss an opportunity to decorate for different seasons.
Love changing the theme in the bedroom with lovely reds.

This year we added a backdrop of white and red curtains from IKEA.
Cushions with red stripes and checkered patterns add to a Christmas country feel.

Only two weeks left of the school holiday.
Tuesday the 28th is the first day of Year 2 for our prince.
Back to routines of bus trips and school lunches ☺
Then it's only 10 weeks until the Easter holiday
Yay ... Easter decor time!

Mixed blue enamel

Finally Friday here! It feels like it's been raining, more or less, every day since school started after the holidays. Sure, we've had beautiful sunshine too... but mostly rain. Normally, our Australian winters are dry and sunny.

When the kids are watching a movie or are asleep, I'm able to potter around the house - doing what I like the most - change the decor around a bit. Sometimes I go blind and don't realise what treasures I have here, treasures which might be tucked away in a cupboard or up on a shelf.

I love blue enamelware. Even though I try to incorporate more white in my kitchen, I have to be honest to myself - I'm a blue enamelware girl, no doubt about it!

Mixed blue enamelware!

Blue and chippy

An European mix of blue goodness.

Beautiful shades of blue

Blue, blue... and more blue!

My kitchen corner,
Earthy tiles, wood and enamel.

Heavenly blue

Tea pot from Arabia, Finland.
Love the Scandinavian pattern.

Hope y'all have a fantastic weekend♥
