Our princess is turning four Monday the 4th,
but we are celebrating her birthday today instead.

This year she wished for a Dora cake so we made one.
Team work once again... I make the sponges and hubby decorates it.
Inside the cake there are layers of jam
- this year we used blueberry jam -
and Swedish vanilla custard
and the whole thing is covered in marzipan.
Yummy!
We stayed up very late to organise everything.
I didn't go to bed until 1am...

Precious!!! I can remember Mary Catherine's 4th birthday like it was yesterday (she's now 9). Four must be the year for the "princess birthday cakes". Mary's was a barbie doll body inside the big ball gown cake. Fun. Homemade cakes are the best!!!
