Aussie Road Trip - Part 4 - Exploring

The whole family went out quite early in the morning to explore Bingara.
The weather was absolutely perfect, sunny and with a clear blue sky
- no clouds anywhere!

Soldiers Memorial Hall

Shops and businesses

Beautiful garden

Love the wispy grass - and the old fence

First we headed to Bingara's IGA store,
previously Fay's department store.

What a historic place!

Look at the ceiling!

Talk about a local convenient store!
White goods, furniture, groceries and a liquor store
- all in one place.
Not bad for a small country town!

Jonah is checking out the range of merchandise.

Love the old signs

The sign at the entrance was spectacular - a beautiful stain glass window.

A beautiful and very colourful garden in the middle of the road.
A feast for my eyes - and Lily's, as she loves pink☺

My FIL in front of the Bingara Bakehouse

The kiddies and I ...and my MIL in the background.

Marilyn Monroe statue in the window of Roxy,
the newly restored and newly re-opened Art Deco Cinema from 1936.

Peter's  Café

So nice when interiors are kept and not replaced with modern ones.

We went window shopping...
A hat for Melbourne Cup Day?!

A local arts and craft shop

A rustic second-hand shop/antique shop

Lots of eye candy

Beautiful doors.
The blue one is my favourite☺

Mural by Balhannah

Checking out the ice cream bar.

Original booths and memorabilia on the wall.

Local hairdresser

Real estate

The Imperial Hotel/Motel

Previously Bingara's Court House
- nowadays, the town's library!

The oranges are only to be picked during  the Orange Festival Ceremony.
Read more about the festivities and the history about this annual event here.

Next stop is Bingara Museum... ☺

See you there☺
