Swedish National Day 2013

Sweden celebrated The Swedish National Day on the 6th of June. I didn't do much celebrating, but I made sure I decorated the house in blue and yellow! You have already seen my kitchen window. Today I'm showing our back kitchen area...

Just have to share a photo of my beautiful mum in her Swedish National costume.
The costume belonged to her mum, my grandmother who passed away in 2011.
One day I'll be wearing it with pride too,
but not in a near future... ☺

Can you believe it, my mum will be 70 next year.
She doesn't look a day over 60!

Photo by H-E Öberg, my former neighbour☺

I'll show you our dining area next time
- make sure you stop by for some more yummy Swedish decor!
Welcome♥

  2. Hi Pernilla,
I just loved seeing your decorations to celebrate Swedish National Day. I have always wanted to travel Down Under and to Sweeden but I am nervous to fly. My husband was born in Copenhagen and would like to make it back to visit someday. Your little Pink Princess is adorable too.
Thanks so much for helping me to feel that I visited your home so very far away from Canada.
    Take care,
    Karen

  9. Good Morning Pernilla, The colours blue and yellow are so lovely together. They remind me of the blue of the sky and the yellow of the sun. My kitchen is painted yellow and I have a lot of blue and white items which I love.
Your kitchen is gorgeous with so much to see and enjoy.
Your mum looks wonderful in her national outfit and no you are absolutely right, she certainly does not look like she is 70 years of age.
    Best Wishes to you,
    Daphne
