I'll take any chance I get to celebrate a Swedish event or a holiday♥
It's so important for the kids to understand and experience their Swedish heritage.

Time for Midsummer lunch in the IKEA restaurant
After a 45 mins wait in a long queue...
400 pre bought tickets had been sold, both online and in the restaurant
previous to this day.
Lots of people showed up and thought they could buy the tickets, then and there,
but unfortunately had to leave cause there were no tickets left.
Finally some food!
A mixture of Swedish delicacies;
different kinds of salmon, meatballs, prawns, eggs,
pickled herring and potatoes... etcetera.
My plate.
... and yes, the prawns on the other plate were mine too.
Love prawns.
My blue and yellow children
Happy Midsummer everyone!

OMG. It was really crazy there for a while. One little table to feed the hungry hordes. It was kind of like the loaves and the fishes. But we had plenty of food in the end. A great day.
ReplyDeleteSåg att Ni hade kul. Som i Sverige fast varmare och hmmm... inget gräss.
ReplyDeleteUnderbar dag.

What a fun tradition. It's good you're passing it on.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blue Monday, Pernilla.
Wonderful memories with your sweet children. I so much enjoyed seeing the event. Great series of photos! Yes, I love seafood, too.
ReplyDeleteCool pics. Looks like you had fun. I played too. Mine are here and here.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful blue costumes and blue everywhere. There is an Ikea being built about 5 miles from our home, will be done in 2014. So excited.
