***

My parents wedding photo from 1966 is mixed in with metal tins and wood items in my kitchen area.
They look so young. They would have celebrated 40 years as married in 2006, but my dad suddenly passed away very unexpectedly a month before that. so they couldn't celebrate their anniversary together. Life is unfair sometimes. At least they got 43 happy years together. The fact that my dad died two month before our Jonah was born, doesn't make it any easier either... Luckily, I'm blessed with beautiful memories. and so is my my mother.

  7. There is no good time for one to lose a loved one. It is always sad, but it can be sadder at certain times than at others. I am so glad you have so many happy memories. That is how we keep the memory of our loved ones alive. Your post is so attractively put together in the mosaic model. Love the old utensils. You did a lovely job with your post this week. genie

  18. Hi little Miss Down Under. Love all of your vintage tin in your cupboard. The wedding picture is priceless. So sorry for the loss of your father. My father passed unexpectantly when I was only 9 mnths old leaving my mom with 8 children. She was a wonderful mother. I never felt his loss because I was so young. She remarried when I was 7 and he was a wonderful father to me and my other two sisters who were still at home. Thanks for sharing this with Share your Cup!
