Book Week 2014

Children's Book Week is run by the the Children's Book Council of Australia. Each year in August, schools and libraries spend a week celebrating books, Australian authors and illustrators.

The students in Prep, Year 1 and two celebrated Book Week dressed up as a favourite character in a big parade. This year is the last parade for Jonah as he starts Year 3 after Christmas. Next year Lily will be in Prep and gets to participate in the Book Week - this year she was happy to get dressed up too!

Master Jonah as a pirate!

Jonah and Lily aka Pirate J and Swedish Pippi Långstrump (Longstocking)

My own Pippi Longstocking.
Love her blue and yellow with a touch of green and red Pippi outfit.

After the Book Week Parade, we headed home... ☺

  1. Hej Nilla,

  7. Great shots and such beautiful smiling faces! My sister-in-law once bought thin wire to lace into my niece Amy' braids as she was Pippi Longstockings! I wish I could find that cute photo! A great character to dress up as! ENjoy a beautiful week. Hugs, Anne
