Scandinavian Festival in Brisbane

A few weeks ago we attended the Scandinavian Festival in Brisbane. The occasion was to celebrate The Danish Club's 140th year as a club in Brisbane. Back in the day it was a club for all Scandinavians.

A whole street was blocked off due to this festival and heaps of stands with food, craft and various small and big Scandinavian businesses. A great day in the sun! It was a really hot day...

Hopefully this will become a yearly event!

Hmmm, wonder why my photos have been turned around??

  1. Oh I wish that would become a yearly event around here. How wonderful is that. I've been to Sweden once, LOVED it and would love to go back some day.

  2. Oh how lovely! I wish we had a scandinavian festival near me! We did a huge one where I grew up - over the course of a week ... but then 70%+ of the people in my hometown were scandinavian :) Looks like you had a great day!

  3. What a wonderful event. Looks likes good weather too.

  6. Now that is a wonderful family day out. Hope it does become an annual event for you.
    Great photos.
