These were my maternal grandmother's best cups and saucers. The set originates from Japan and is very delicate. I've heard they used to live in her most beautiful cabinet. I believe I got them when she emigrated to Australia in 1986 at the age of 65 and since then they lived in my attic at my Mum and Dad's house in Sweden, until I emigrated to Australia in 2001.
I'm so happy they arrived in one piece... that they survived the long trip in my wooden box. For a very long time they were tucked away in a cupboard, but I thought that it's nicer to have them out on display at all times ☺ They add a bit of Asian charm to our home.
Have a lovely day!
Take care and be safe☺
Hugs

Kram Anette :-)
