Excursion with great friends

On our way to The Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA) in Brisbane, we made a pit stop at the Queensland Museum, to take a look at an old Holden car.

We took a stroll through the White Forest

Just on our way out, there were more free activities for the kids.

The library had craft and painting tables.

3rd day of swimming

Time for the third day of swimming

Kids had another great half an hour in the pool.

Only two more sessions left.

 

Oh, my... it was humid inside.

I don't cope well with humidity. 

A tropical climate wouldn't work for me

Luckily, we live in the subtropics... ☺

 

Cooling down in the heat

It's not easy to cool down when it's hot and humid. Yesterday was one of those days. +37°C/approx 99°F.

 

We don't have a swimming pool and we don't live close to the ocean, 

which makes it hard to cool down sometimes.

Jonah enjoyed the sprinkler big time.

Lily had so much fun.

The two of them had a blast!

Christmas Afternoon Tea

 Had a friend over for Afternoon Tea/Swedish fika!

It was lovely to catch up 

as we hadn't seen each other for seven years or more!!

 Finally time for some scrumptious Swedish treats 

in our Swedish Christmas house☺

First swimming lessons

The kids got a week of swimming lessons from their grandparents 

for Christmas last year. Today was the first lesson.

I've been waiting and waiting...

In late October I saw the magz on a British website,

and finally they are here on Australian soil.

Christmas Morning Tea with great friends

Jonah and Lily had two friends, Jed and Eden, over for Morning Tea today.

I made choc banana cupcakes and Swedish cinnamon buns.

As you can see, it's still Christmas!

The boys are looking forward to the freshly baked treats.
