Yesterday was the first day back after the Easter Holidays. The kids were excited to see their friends after being apart for over two weeks. Not sure how excited our Year 4 boy was to exchange his Xbox One and focus on homework instead... ☺

Back to reality
Wow, Sunday came quickly. Tomorrow we'll be back to normal life again with school lunches, bus trips and early nights. I'm not looking forward to my normal 05am mornings, but know it won't take long until I'll get back into it. 11 weeks until the next school holidays... Not that I'm counting or anything lol
♥ Hope you all have a great Sunday ♥

New week
The last week of our Easter holiday is here... Not sure what's on the activity list... maybe a playdate or two, some baking and relaxing before the Term 2 of the school year starts next week.

Holiday fun times
Out n about in the suburban jungle lol
The kids and I are heading to the park...
The park is small and no one hardly ever uses it.
It's quite boring and is in desperate need of an update,
but
the kids still found a moment of joy while using the swings.

Easter at Home
My Easter Corner. Bright and yellow.
An ocean of candle holders with an assortment of candle rings.
My kind of Easter!
Daffodils... Yes, they are faux... but still very pretty and perfect for Easter
Lots and lots of bright and colourful Easter eggs. They originally came from my maternal grandmother and my paternal grandfather. A lovely family mix.
Up on the shelf... A selection of vintage and antique Easter chickens. The oldest ones belonged to my paternal grandfather. They are really old. He dies in 1980 at the age of 90. The brighter chickens I had in my childhood home. Some of them have unfortunately lost their legs.
My Swedish candle holder which has decorations for each season - and more!
Three witches in a row
My Swedish Easter witch which used to hang in my parents kitchen window during Easter. Somehow she ended up in the land down under a few years ago. She stays out all year around keeping an eye on my family.
A simple, yet pretty Easter vignette on our rustic dining room table.
Thanks for visiting♥
See you soon!
An unexpected sighting
The other day we saw a hot air balloon in the sky.
It was 0545am and hubby was on his way out the door to drive off to work.
Pretty spectacular as this doesn't happen every day around here!
Swedish Waffle Day 2016
Last Friday we celebrated The Swedish Waffle Day.
So scrumptious.
Waffles, cream and Swedish cloudberry jam.
Yum
Such an awesome way to celebrate the beginning of the school holidays.
The only downside was that I should have made more waffles... ☺
